"I would like to take this opportunity of thanking you and all your members for helping to make our concert such an overwhelming success. I have had so many messages of appreciation and feel that it has been a privilege to have helped organise such a superb event. Best wishes to all in the Choir, we hope that we shall be able to work with you again in the future. On a personal note, you may see me as a new member sooner than you think."

Grimsby - 8 December 2007
On behalf of Rita and all the ladies of the Choir, can I please ask you to convey our heartfelt thanks to Andrew and all the gentlemen of the Dalesmen MVC for your contribution to our very successful concert on Saturday night. I think you will agree with us that it was a splendid evening, and the many comments we have had from the audience, tell us that it was very well received by them too. I trust you had a good journey home, and a much-deserved lie-in on Sunday morning! I hope we will be able to find a suitable date in the near future when we can join together for another concert in your part of the world.

Bakewell - 10 November 2007
I am writing on behalf of the Bakewell Committee of Cancer Research UK to express our very great thanks for the lovely concert you gave us on Saturday night. This was immensely enjoyed by all present. You gave us a very varied programme with splendid soloists and the obvious enjoyment you all get from your singing was very infectious. We are all very impressed with the amount of time and effort you must all give. Thanks to you we raised the splendid sum of £430 for which we are very grateful. RL

St. Luke's Church, Leek, Staffordshire - October 2007
"On behalf of the Scout Holiday Homes Trust, I would like to thank the Dalesmen Male Voice Choir for their performance on 27 October 2007. What a wonderful night we had, it was amazing. The comments we received last night and this morning were really nice, everyone enjoyed the concert so much. After the concert Colonel (Dr.) Sethi (Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Staffordshire) was really impressed with all the performers on the night and said he especially enjoyed the soloist and the choir singing together. At the concert were a number of residents from the Nursing Home, where I work and one gentleman, Frank, some years had a bad stroke, which took his speech. Last night Colonel Sethi spotted the Regimental Badge on Frank's blazer and went to talk to him. With all the excitement of the concert I though I would call to see if he was all right this morning. When I arrived, Matron said, "You had better go up to see Frank". To my amazement he had started to talk, not very well yet, but you could tell what he was trying to say. It seems that he enjoyed the concert very much. God bless him, he made me feel quite emotional. Thank you all once again".

"On behalf of Chapel-en-le-Frith Ladies Choir, I would like to say a very big 'thank you' to you and all the members of your Choir for making us so welcome on Saturday. It was a privilege to sing in the beautiful Christ Church, Belper with The Dalesmen and the buffet you provided for us after the concert was wonderful. We all thoroughly enjoyed the evening and hope that we will be able to meet up again in the not too distant future. Thank you again for your hospitality"

Bury St. Edmunds - September 2007
"My sincere thanks to all the Dalesmen for the valuable contribution that you made to a very successful concert at Trinity on Saturday evening. On Sunday I heard so many expressing how enjoyable they found the concert. It was also a success in financial terms. The final amount raised was just short of £1,200 of which £600 is being sent to the Zimbabwe Victims Support Fund, to be used to sustain people at the very edge of existence. I hope that you had a good concert on Sunday and a safe journey home and I look forward to a future event which might allow us to sing together again "

Bury St. Edmunds - September 2007
"I hope you all arrived home safely. Just a line to say how much we enjoyed your company last weekend. My wife and I enjoyed your concert at Harleston. It was nice to see a concert without all the hard work involved in putting it on. It was obvious to us that, not only were you a good Choir but also a happy Choir and we look forward to visiting you in 2009."

Landau Forte College, Derby - April 2007
"Thank you to The Dalesmen Male Voice Choir for a great concert which put another £881 profit from the evening into our coffers. It won't be there long because we have just been asked if the "Friends" could fund two oxygen concentrators at £1,000 each. Anyway, please thank Andrew White and the Choir".

Matlock - April 2007
"Thank you so much for the wonderful farewell concert you presented this evening and for the beautiful flowers. Brian and I very much appreciated it all. Thank you, too, for the "This is Your Life" - I couldn't have made up a better story! (especially taking five years off my life). I received £430 - £230 has gone towards repairs at the Church and £200 to St. Lukes Cheshire Hospice (my husband's brother died of cancer last week). Every continued blessing".

Derby - March 2007
"On behalf of the Derbyshire Association for the Blind I would like to thank the Dalesmen Male Voice Choir for your contribution towards Pat Taylor's retirement party on Saturday evening. Many people have told me how much they enjoyed the music you performed. You gave the evening a real flavour of success. Many members of staff worked hard to ensure Pat enjoyed a night to remember. We could not have achieved this without the help and support you have given us. I would like to personally thank you for making the process very simple. You are a very professional outfit and a pleasure to work with".

Belper - March 2007
"Thank you so much for organising a wonderful concert on Saturday evening. Your support is very much appreciated and really does make a difference to the lives of the children and families in our care. Rainbows offers respite, palliative and terminal care for the children as well as offering support for the whole family. Care is provided by a dedicated and caring team of professional nurses, carers and therapists in a "home from home" environment. To continue to provide the care and support to the children and their families we have to raise in excess of £2 million every year and this really wouldn't be possible without the kind help and support we receive from organisations and people like you. Sadly the need for Rainbows will never disappear but with help such as yours we can continue to provide this very special care and support. Once again, many thanks for thinking of rainbows. With deepest regards, Community Fundraiser"

Mackworth - October 2006
"Please pass on our appreciation to the Choir and the soloists for an excellent evening's entertainment. Everyone throughly enjoyed the concert and several commented that the Dalesmen was the best Choir they had ever heard. It was good you were able to visit us during our Golden Jubilee year and we thank you for giving us an evening that we will remember for some time to come".

Belper - July 2006
"We would like to thank each one of you for a wonderful evening of beautiful singing of inspirational hymns and songs. What a tapestry of music. Over £1,400 was raised for the Derbyshire Association for the Blind. A special thanks to the ladies of the Choir who helped in so many ways".

"I suppose you thought we had forgotten you but not a bit of it. I am enclosing a copy of an article from the local newspaper which gives a very complimentary account of your concert at Tipperary. You are all such nice people and gave us much pleasure. We really enjoyed having you here". The 2-column newspaper article concludes, "Thus ended a most memorable occasion, one that deeply impressed the many experienced and knowledgeable musical people in the audience. We had all been lucky enough to hear the Dalesmen on one of their rare appearances in Ireland to date"

Hilton - March 2006
"On behalf of Church Broughton Methodist Chapel, we should just like to say 'what a wonderful evening we had last Saturday at Hilton Village Hall. The evening was beyond all our expectations. We have made a clear profit which will help a great deal towards our funds as we are only a small chapel, with very few members. We are also pleased that you enjoyed yourselves and thank you for all the help you gave us".
