​Calling all musicians in Years 12 & 13

​Do you want the chance for your music to earn you £400?

On Saturday 7th April 2018 a music competition will be held at The Strutts Centre, Derby Road, Belper, Derbyshire.
 
There will be a prize of £400 for the winning student, a prize of £150 for the student in second place, and a prize of £75 for the student in third place.

This annual music competition is sponsored by the Dalesmen Male Voice Choir.

Competition details

The award is open to students who:

• Live or are educated in Derbyshire and 

 

• Who are in Year 12 or 13 

 
It is expected that applicants will be at the standard of Grade 7 or above on their chosen instrument or in their chosen voice discipline.

Successful applicants will be expected to perform either two or three  items on their chosen instrument/voice discipline in front of a panel of adjudicators.

Please note:
•        You may only enter on one instrument / voice, but if you are a vocalist you may accompany yourself on an instrument or sound                      system
•        If your own accompanist is not able to come with you, then the M.D. of the Dalesmen MVC is happy to fill that role for you
•        Total performance time is 15 minutes for each candidate
